David Bowie was born in Brixton, South London, on 8 January 1947. His first hit was ‘Space Oddity’ in 1969. He is known for the living characters such as Ziggy Stardust and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. He died on January 10, 2016, from cancer at the age of 69.
