The Doll’s House is rather like ‘The Book’, an unfinished, yet committed to project. Except that it is far more progressed and has been near completion for over eight years.
Started in 1997 when I was out of work, it sits on my kitchen table still in 2020, twenty-three later. It was requested that I build it for my daughters but not even I would have imagined that it would take so long,l still unfinished.
I didn’t want something that would fall apart easily, so as I had the time, I built something a Russian warship couldn’t destroy. My vision and design was too complicated and needless to say the children grew up knowing all about the dollshouse, but not actually seeing it much.
This is my space to record some things about it for posterity.
More to follow soon.
